Talking to Reuters, head of Konami’s North American and European operations Kazumi Kitaue expressed their less than optimistic feelings about the PS3 and its latest price cut. “I wonder if Sony can win back user support by the price cut of just $100” Kitaue said, “I don’t expect a substantial impact … With $500, you can buy a personal computer“. Very opinionated and strong words coming from a developer who is supposedly creating a highly anticipated game (see Metal Gear Solid 4) exclusively for Sony. So, it’s even more interesting and revealing to hear Kitaue’s response to a question asking about MGS 4 exclusivity where he goes on to say that “Metal Gear Solid was born for the PlayStation, we would like to keep it a PlayStation game. But we might have to take some steps“.
There you go fanboys, we’ve added some fuel to the Metal Gear Solid 4 is 360 bound fire as it has yet to be drowned out. You’re welcome.

Less than an hour ago we were graced with our first Bringing it Home XBLM content which offered up gamer pictures and a theme. And now we’re happy to announce that we have our first Bringing it Home demo! Up for download off the Marketplace is a NCAA Football 08 demo coming in at 684MBs of what we expect to be full of football fun. Though, this cannot be guaranteed. We welcome football fans to give the demo a download, tell us what you think and share your overall impressions as we aren’t overly familiar with the genre. Heck, maybe you could count every frame in a second to see if the game runs at its promised 60 FPS.

And so starts the promised E3 Bringing it Home Marketplace content with a few Devil May Cry 4 downloads. Available for the picking today is the HD DMC 4 trailer featured at last year’s Tokyo Game Show, a theme, and a set of DMC 4 gamer pictures. The five gamer pics feature Nero, Dante and Kyrie and will run you 100 Microsoft points while the theme will set you back 150. Keep your dial tuned into X3F as we’ll be keeping an eye on all the Bringing it Home downloadable goodness throughout the next few days.

The big Microsoft E3 press conference airs tonight and so the Gamerscore Blog crew took a few pictures of the venue (a high school) where all the fun will be going down later and posted them to their Flickr account. But they obviously posted photos that they shouldn’t have and quickly pulled a bunch of pictures featuring the venue and the rehearsal. But Joystiq reader Rickard Gudbrand was quick to take a screenshot of the one gray Xbox image (but we found a higher res one here) before it was pulled. Indeed, it is a gray 360.
So, what does this gray Xbox 360 mean? Well, we aren’t sure and will have to probably wait until the press conference later tonight, but we’ll go out on a limb and say it may have to do with either a price cut or be a reworking of what the Core system offers. Microsoft … always wanting to surprise as if it were Christmas in July.
>Update 1: We’ve stumbled upon a higher resolution version of the leaked photo. Enjoy.

Spark Unlimited unveiled their latest project which features a Pandora’s Box full of mythological creates titled Legendary: The Box. The game is based around the idea that you play a thief who is hired to steal a special box from a NY museum and when you’re curiosity gets the best of you, you open said box and unleash what could possibly be mankind’s destruction. This Pandora’s Box brings griffins, werewolves, and other monstrosities to Earth and it’s your duty to shove them back into their box or send them to hell. It’s a very interesting concept and quite the interesting trailer as it’ll be something we’ll keep our eye on in 2008. View the E3 trailer above and read through IGN’s hands on preview after the jump.

Canadian gamers are in for a treat this week, because Future Shop has an Xbox 360 deal you can’t refuse. This week Future Shop is offering the Premium Xbox 360 Forza 2 bundle for $499, but they are also throwing in three free games to boot! The three free games included are Crackdown, World Series of Poker: Tournament Of Champions, and Hitman: Blood Money plus Forza 2 equals four free games with a 360 purchase. Now that’s what we call gaming in a box. Though, we recommend holding out until tomorrow night to see if the rumored 360 price drop happens. If not, go get yourself a 360 … you deserve it.

Falcon. That’s the code name for the project that’ll not only make future Xbox 360s more reliable and make the hardware cheaper, but will also help Microsoft sleep better at night. Over at The Mercury News, Dean Takahashi talks about the Falcon project and how the new 65nm technology could be the answer to Microsoft’s red ring woes. It is expected that the new 65nm CPU/GPU combo could be implemented as soon this Fall and would seriously help with hardware stability as the smaller chips produce less heat. The benefits are enormous and range from cheaper hardware, to more reliable chips, to less heat being generated. With project Falcon being so beneficial it’d be hard to believe that Microsoft isn’t pushing to get the technology up and out the door as soon as possible. This Falcon could very well be the single best thing to ever happen to the 360.
